SMLE No.1 Lower forewood-Walnut
This replacement part has been precision CNC machined from locally sourced timber. All parts are check fitted against a reference action and barrel, however will require fitting and finishing work to match your individual rifle. If you do not have the requisite skills and tools to complete the fitting, we recommend engaging a gunsmith or other competent person. Please refer to our fitting guide to understand the scope of work.
Referenced in Ian Skennerton's book 'The Lee-Enfield', Walnut was used for stocking Lithgow (AUS) manufactured rifles early in the production process. Due to limited supplies, stocks were later manufactured in Qld Maple and Coachwood.
